Beginner’s Patchwork & Quilting

Love the idea of making a patchwork quilt but don’t know where to start? Fancy it but don’t want to spend a lot of money in case you don’t enjoy it. You have come to the right place. I will be running a 5 week long introduction to patchwork and quilting, which will give you the skills you need to go ahead and make your own. The classes will be run in the lovely ‘Teashop’ in Barnt Green. All material, instructions and use of equipment is included and there will be tea and cake. Places are limited so don’t miss out, book yours today.

Week 2
•    Applique hexagon/Grandmother’s fan to background
•    Rotary Cutting
•    9 square blocks &1/2 square triangles
Week 3
•    Borders and sashing
Week 4
•    Layering and wadding
•    Hand quilting
Week 5
•    Finishing off Binding
•    Hanging loops
•    labels
